Modified a British Tamar model to a bulk carrier and fitted a sky sail.

What's the story with the sky sail? Do modern ships really use those? And what is the purpose--balance? Propulsion?

There's a few ships I've read about using them now, not all that common as yet though. It is for reducing fuel consumption, ie reducing operating costs. I think the ones they have now can give fuel savings of up to 35%.

It will join my Russian fleet posted elsewhere on here to help balance the US fleet I have.
