Stumbled across this forum recently, fascinating and beautiful models here!

Thought I'd share some of my work.

The upper hulls are 3d printed, lower hulls are scratch built, along with the masts, gun barrels, radar, railings are PE

Welcome Aboard, and Beautiful work! That is very impressive levels of detail for that scale  :o

I'm going to move this topic to the showcase since these guys are pretty clearly not WIP ;).

Welcome aboard Speedbird! I'll echo Ruckdog's comments, beautiful work on those two subjects. Great detailing. What is the scale?

Looks like you're new to Man Battlestations. We are primarily a naval wargaming forum (all types--miniatures, board games, electronic games, etc), so most of the models you'll see here are gaming related and not actual model kits--although we're always happy to look at well-built kits like you posted. If you'd like, drop a note in our Introductions thread and tell us a bit about yourself--if you play any naval wargames, which factions you play, where you play, etc. We have forum members around the U.S. and in a few other countries as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

The scale is 1/1800 and these aren't really kits. The upper hull was 3D printed and the lower hull was entirely scratch built. Masts, turrets, radar, rigging, aircraft, all scratch built by me.

Fantastic. The idea that these are 1/1800 is stunning. This is the best micro-scale modelling I've seen.
