I just put the finishing touches on my Christmas gift from Landlubber, a 1/2400 scale mini of the USS Bataan (LHD 5)! This is my first modern naval mini, and I'm really happy with how it came out. This project was extra special not only because the mini was a gift, but also because the Bataan is the ship I'm currently assigned to.

That's some great work. The decals really make it pop.
What did you use for the base? And how did you get that effect?
