Title: Tumbling Dice Trireme Questions
Post by: Easy E on January 18, 2021, 03:51:55 pm
Greetings All,

I was considering ordering some Tumbling Dice triremes to play Poseidon's Warriors from osprey with.  It is a simple, fun, and fast system that I have been using paper templates with.  However, I was thinking of upgrading with some Trireme's from Tumbling Dice.

Here are my questions:

1. How big are they actually?  I have no idea how big a Trireme is in 1/2400 scale.
2. Are they solid cast or in pieces?  Do they have sails optional?
3. Do you have any pictures I can look at?  The website has them for Punic War era ships but not earlier.

You can find the site I am looking at here:

Thanks for your help.

Hmmm...I don't have any of these myself, and I think there was someone on the FB Naval Gaming group that posted pics, but I couldn't find them.

A 1/2400 Trireme is going to be pretty small, though. According to wikipedia, 40m was about the going size for length, which at 1/2400 would put the minis at about 2cm long!

Dang!  That might be two small for me but I do like having 25+ per side so there is that to consider as well......

May need to just order a set as a tester.
