Great podcast as per usual - Nice to hear from "Easy E" about his work and ideas on rules in general. Will certainly check out "Castles In The Sky" when it arrives on my shores :)
I would say about Dystopian Wars 2.5 Escorts that they can be very swing-y in results and have an example from a game held yesterday - My Russians against a Chinese Fed force, the Chinese Battle cruiser was in combat with a Dudinka and her escort Velikys; After the first turn, the BC had taken two hull damage and the Dudinka was on seven Fires and on e Corrosion marker, with four hull damage. Next turn, the BC again thumped the Dudinka with two Criticals, another Fire and a Hard Pounding, which combined with unrepaired Fire and Corrosion markers, saw it sink. However . . . The Velkiy's moved up and fired in link, and dealt through exploding dice a double Critical sunk the BC. It's never a good idea to dismiss Escort groups, whether defending or attacking
