********After action report-------The Canova brakeout*******************
My Lord
On a standard patrol in the outer system of the
Canova Sector our ships detected a small pirate
band on the edge of a gas cloud region, the
Patrol commander moved forward to engage the band
deemed to consist of 5 or less ships. Two light
crusiers scanned the area and found a total of at
least 10 ships hidden in the sensor shadow of the
gas field. The captains of both light cruisers
engaged engines in an attempt to leave the area one
of the cruisers was crippled but managed to still leave.
The Commissariat will investigate for acts of cowardess
and take appropriate action, as this maneuver separated
the patrol and a large number of pirate ships
appeared out of the sun and destroyed all but one
of the escorts. This one action represents unusual
behavior for the Eldar in this region I humbly suggest
increased intelligence gathering operations.
