Excellent! Thank you, all!

Hey all, long time no see! Too busy playing 2.5 and converting "new" craft.

A question - Does anyone recall the 6 engined bomber that was offered at IIRC Salute one year, the Valkyrie? And would anyone have the stats?

Impressive looking token holders, I must say.

As for your analysis of your progress, I feel there is a parameter you might have missed.; How often does your collection get utilized for one of its purposes, or in blunt terms, how frequently do you play?.

Having limited resources, including space, I have a personal rule; For my forces, any army/fleet that I do not use at least once a year gets moved to a list for disposal - Usually sale, sometimes gifting to other keen players.  Pragmatically, this makes more space available, and b can bring in funds to allow me to explore new options ( Read; Buy new toys for a new game or update previous forces.  8) ). In practice, this also keeps me flexible as I make a regular shift from force to force, rules to rules and play style to play style, so I keep mentally fresh.

That works for me, though might not work for anyone else. I confess I admire your approach here, though.

Dystopian Wars / Re: Cyclone Of Shadows - Initial Impressions

That seems to be a pattern with Warcradle's approach to DW.  Some extremely well-thought-out sets of miniatures, with a highly open-ended rule book and game support. It falls somewhere between the Spartan approach and the current GW "Spoon-feeding" tactic; I know there's a bit of frustration among players about some of that, especially the "living ORBATS" that are updated every few weeks, as it feels a little unfinished and chaotic. Mind you a few players love 3.0 for precisely that reason, so different strokes, as they say.

Then again, I am loving some of the new ships.

This time, a Paraguayan fleet with Italian influence.

Seems if you couldn't concentrate on an AAR, then it must have been an intriguing game. :)

And any game with a Gewiterrwolke in it is going to be lots of fun, or at least busy.

Very tempting, however I made my first KS backing in years, and it was successful ( I financed the Stork Heavy VTOL Lifter from Kore Games, and received three at a third the price of the main release - Pretty chuffed : 8) and since I run at about 50% success rate I think i will with massive regret, pass on this.

It is very tempting, I will grant that.

News and Rumors / Re: Sturginium Skies: 2-Player DW Starter Set

Well, "Beyond the....." is still way better than "The Rise of..." which is a warning sign whenever you see it in a naming convention.

 You aren't wrong :)

The sets are also nice "joint buys" for two players to split up after purchase.

Me? I'm saving my money for the Scandinavian and Canadian sets  :D :D

Well, I succumbed and got myself Mozhayski and Covenant Frontline boxes; I *refuse* to use the word "Enlightened" for reasons. Not bad models, but I am now looking forward to November for this -

There is an upgrade to the box set called, imaginatively, "Beyond The Sturginium Skies" -

( The rig is very nice: It's also available in the Covenant/Commonwealth upgrade to the "Hunt for The Prometheus" 2 player set; Guess what *that's* called? :) )

Really captured the feel of a well-crewed but less that well-organised assult team carrier there. I love your conversions just as art pieces alone. (Y)

News and Rumors / Re: Leviathans relaunch in August

. . . And it seems to have been funded, something like nearly seven times the goal being donated -

I was involved in another one this time around ( Which appears to be successful ), so didn't donate. But it's looking great.

Guess this fits here . . . the designer of fleets for The Drowned and the Damned has just discounted his MyMiniFactiry prices for stl files. The elf fleet is here - https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-the-drowned-and-the-damned-elf-fleet-180681  - with the others on the artists page.

News and Rumors / Naval Assets for SF Games from Hardware Studios.
« on: June 06, 2022, 10:03:24 pm »

Hardware Studios have several nice futuristic navy vessels in their ready-printed range, but recently they have expanded into more with releases in the stl "print at home"/local printing operation market, and very nice as well. In one case, eels not included.
