Modeling Preps For Adepticon

Adepticon is just over a month away! Now that my Planetfall Directorate are done, I'm turning my attention to the task of making sure that the models I need for my fleets that I'll be using in the two events I've registered for are ready to go. That will inolved painting the following models from scratch:

-3 Space Marine Hunter escorts (BFG)
-8 Terran Frigates (FSA)

In addition to these new paints, I've got varying degrees of touch-ups and repairs to do on the rest of my BFG fleet, which was been "in the warp" for 6 years and 5 moves since the last time it hit the table! Specifically, my Retribution-class battleship is in a few pieces, I'm missing antennas on one of my cruisers, and there are several spots that just need general touch-ups either due to chipping or poor craftsmanship at the time of "launching" (I was VERY new to the hobby when I painted all of these ). Here is a pic of what I'm working with:

Oh man. I'm not even going to post a picture of all the stuff I need to paint before Adepticon. Luckily for me I'm only registered for one game in which I have to bring my own models--the Firestorm Armada event. But about 90% of my RSN still need to be painted, and some still need to be primered! 

I also have some stuff that I would like to get painted before the con, like my Ancients of Atalan for DeepWars, but that's all taking a back seat to the RSN.

Just a quick update! I've put the finishing touches on the ships for the Space Marine portion of my Adepticon fleet. They are painted in the colors of the Novamarines chapter, and consist of the Strike Cruiser "Unshakeable" and the Hunter-class escorts "Pious," "Virtus," and "Puriy":



The rest of my IN fleet is looking okay; I've done some work to patch up my old paint schemes and fix some basing issues. I still more to do, mostly detail work. I also need to re-base my attack craft, since they are not on the 20mm square bases specified by the event rules:



All in all, I'm on track to finish these guys up by the end of the week!

Sorry for the lack of updates! The last couple of weeks have been busy at work and I have backed off my modeling some. I have been working on re-basing some of my BFG fighters and bombers, though. I've also been picking at doing up a couple more squadrons of frigates for FSA:



Gotta get these done in time for Adepticon! It's coming up quick.

Last Week => 1000pts of Relthoza, plus Battle Station

Sat/Sunday => 2500pts of Planetfall Relthoza, plus Vaxiss Leviathan

Tonight => 75 soulstones of Malifaux Neverborn

If only I knew how I was going to pack them all...
