Just finished it, great ep!

It was good to hear the FBD guys on, since their own eps have been rare these days. If you ever have them back, dig in more on good and bad stuff in the game. I wanted to hear more what "nitpicks" Josh has, and what they most admire about it - maybe like best 3 things about the game/ worst 3 things about the game?

(Mine would be -
Best: Models, design space variety, cinematic moments (yes the exploding 6's)

Worst: Reserve Shunt-In, Lack of Species background/Art/characters, Battle Log Swings)

I was also curious to hear in depth what they think about Taskforce, and the new Spartan habit of releasing minis before rules. (Looks at Omnidyne ...)

And maybe its part of the next ep topic, but Andy, what don't you like about FS Carrier Ops? The limited range?

Loved all the Jutland discussions, and it got me wondering: Is there an ACTIVE Avalon-Hill style game that recreates Jutland? I found this:

But it seems neither practical nor good.... :-)

Thanks for the comments Dale! I agree, there are a TON of things left to talk about. However, the episode was running nearly 3 hours as it was, and we just didn't have the time. I think we will definitely try to have the FBD folks back on the air in a future episode, they are a lot of fun to talk to. And yes, Greg and I will be addressing space carrier rules (including the FSA ones!) in more detail next episode ;).

As for your question regarding Jutland, the Avalanche Press game that Rinidis pointed to in his thread in the Great War sub-forum might fit the bill:

Here is the BGG page on the game for comparison with the Avalon Hill game:
