1/2400 WW1 Super Dreadnoughts Baden and Bayern

If I was a chéf without doubt the Naval Miniature would be my signature dish.

After the slog of Project Jutland a couple of years back I have had a bit of a break from painting the nautical, 250 1/2400 ships is a enough for one lifetime.

But then there is the ships that weren't at Jutland, I hear you say, and you are quite right ! I have collected a slack handful of GHQ ships to fill the gaps in my collection and one of the bonus rounds on the Analogue Hobbies Winter Paint Challenge was "Water" queue these bad boys.

15 inch guns and thick armour what's not to like, they will take pride and place at the head of my WW1 German Navy. Lots more on blog.

Beautiful work as always. When I have some time I'm going to have to check out your blog post on how you build the bases; the water effect is superb.

Those GHQ ships sure do paint up nicely. I've been itching to pull the trigger on some modern warships so I can give Rory Crabb's "Naval Command" rules a spin, just haven't done it yet (darn Star Wars Legion soaking up all my hobby money!).

So I noticed in your blog post that you said you're getting to the end of collecting WW1 ships for the Brits and Germans...once you reach the end of that line, what will you start on next?

Cheers, Not sure there is much more to do, I have extensive WW2 Fleets, might look at some WW1 Med Fleets or go back to my Napoleonic stuff.

That's the most likely route.

Those look really good, and would have given the QE's a run for their money.  I have always wanted to do a late war Jutland style game.  But have never gotten to it.
