World War One section?
« on: April 06, 2014, 11:37:05 pm »
Ruckdog-

2014 marks the hundredth anniversary of the start of World War One.  Could we have a section of the forum dedicated specifically to discussion about this topic?  Someplace where we can share book/article recommendations, anecdotes, resources, ask questions, discuss ideas, etc?  Most wargamers I know have at least a passing interest in military history, and WW1 isn't the most well-known conflict in this country, so I thought having a section of the forum dedicated to The Great War might be a good way for all of us to learn.

Just an idea.

It's an intriguing idea, Landlubber. I can easily create a sub-forum in either the General section or the historical section. I'll take a look at that later tonight when I'm not on my cell ;).

Excellent, thank you.  And WW1 had some pretty significant naval engagements, in keeping with the Man Battlestations theme!

Okay, it's done! I took the liberty of moving the thread you started about swimming Turks ;).
