Warcradle Ice Maiden
« on: January 30, 2018, 02:20:44 am »

Apparently, the pre-orders for the Warcradle -produced Prussian Ice Maiden carrier are now shipping, and there's talk on FaceBook about them, including some comparisons by one person who has one of the rare KS editions.

Anyone here ordered one? Have you got it yet? I'd like to hear your impressions, as there's a wide variety on the HeadNovel at present :)

Just seem the pictures but looks like either the Geier is becoming an armoured clash model or that fighters and bombers will differentiated Firestorm style.

Some good stuff has been posted lately!

Here is my unboxing video: https://youtu.be/Q17-tSqLVuU

Here is a good video comparing the Warcradle and Spartan versions: https://youtu.be/nWNAX2ziR6M

And finally, here is a fun comparison between the Ice Maiden, the Blazing Sun dreadnought, and a model of the IJN Yamato in the same scale:

She's a big beast, and a lovely one to be sure!

The height above water is about the only "unrealistic" if I can use that word feature of the design, isn't it? And given the weapons loads, access doors and such that are part of the side walls, that makes  sense in the game for it to be so. Otherwise, as Ruckdog and I discussed elsewhere, it's pretty much a super-carrier from a different line of historical development.

Seems like a promising start for the Warcradle miniatures for DW :)
