Anyone up for a game of Firestorm or Planetfall this coming Monday (Mar 7th) at the Haven?

If you haven't found anything yet Dale I am available.

I am going to be at the store on Monday 3/7 for a game of something Spartan. I'm interested specifically in Halo or Firestorm (I can demo Halo with someone) but anything is open.

We could play again. I want to try those nuke turrets again.

Hey Sean. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I know I've checked this thread but I missed you somehow. Unfortunately something came up. I will be giving the brother in law a ride home from Denver tonight. I'll still come by the store to spectate for a moment, but I can't play anything.

Thanks though, we should definitely have a rematch soon. My goats could use some more time in the Kurak training simulator.

I'm free to play tonight, but all I brought is my Halo stuff--although I have both factions with me. Didn't bring my RSN, they're all in space dock right now getting painted for the Schaumberg Prime offensive (otherwise known as Adepticon).

<Bump>

Who's going to be there on Monday? I prefer Firestorm/Planetfall to practice, but I'll play whatever, even try out Taskforce

I can't make Monday, gotta pick the wife up from the airport. However, Quickdraw and I will be playing a MASSIVE Halo game on Sunday at the Haven using the new Firefight scenario. This is going to be one of those "put everything you've got on the table" kind of games, probably approaching 4000 points per side. In the "Firefight" scenario, each player deploys their flagship element towards the center of the table, then each turn you roll Halo dice to bring on additional battlegroups. For those that deploy, you have to roll to see if they come on with Vulnerable markers. AND, you have to roll for the board edge on which they deploy. So not everything goes on the table at once, and there will most likely be multiple smaller engagements all around the board while the two big guys (my Punic and his CAS) duke it out in the middle. This will be my first deployment using the new Orion-class assault carriers, and I have some new specialist formation cards for the Marathon cruisers and Paris frigates. Plus, it will be the first deployment for the Punic-class supercarrier. Still need to think of a name for that ship.

We've budgeted the whole day for this game, so anyone who wants to come by and check it out, feel free. I will write up a battle report afterwards. Quickdraw beat up my UNSC pretty bad a couple weeks ago, so I'll be looking for some revenge...

Sunday sounds cool, but I'm at a family BBQ then. Maybe I'll just paint more instead :-)

For the name, depends whether you favor Rom or the Carthaginians.

For the latter, there's only one name: Hannibal!

For the former, "Scipio Africanus"

I've thought about both. But I'm thinking of naming it after a major geologic feature...I've thought about Olympus Mons, which is the tallest volcano in the solar system. Or maybe naming it after a planet. Neptune, maybe? Or Jupiter?

Name it for the largest Moons... Titan! And then you can call the battle "Attack On Titan"!

Or the moons of Mars, Phobos or Deimos...

I know it's short notice but is anyone interested in some firestorm, dystopian wars, or halo tomorrow after work?
I will be there with something all packed up. Be good to see some folks come out, I haven't made it the past few weeks.
