New Member in Alexandria

Hello everyone. I was referred here from the Spartan Games forum by Landlubber. I am located in Alexandria, VA and own (with only a few plays) Halo Fleet Battles. I am hoping to meet some other players here and work with them to build a nice local play group.

Welcome aboard! Do you play at E&E? I have the Halo FB starter box plus a few items, and I generally make it up to E&E about once a month (I live in Woodbridge). I'd be happy to meet up for a game some time!

Hey, welcome aboard, glad you found us.

Halo Fleet Battles is a great game, I've really been enjoying it this past year. Feel free to post up some pics of your fleet!

@Ruckdog. There isn't a store where I have been playing. So far, all my games have been inviting friends over to my apartment.

@Landlubber. I will post pictures of my fleet soon. I've been working on some new layering techniques with the CPV heavy destroyers rather than drybrushing. So far, the results are coming out much better.

Can't wait to see them. I need to get my CPVs painted up before Tacticon (first weekend in September). But before I paint them I think I need to do a little sanding to get those rear "wings" to sit properly. They don't quite sit right on the main part of the hull. Not sure if yours have that issue.

I may not be able to meet any of you at E&E. Last Friday I accepted a new job in Dallas, TX. We'll be moving in late September. If there's a Saturday that works for everyone, I would love to try to get in one afternoon of Halo.

We have a wedding to attend the 10th, but I can do the 17th.

No game store picked out yet. We just got a contract on a house last night.
