Thoughts on a Fall Campaign

I've been seeing a few "global" campaigns for various games around the internet, and I was thinking it might be fun to do one here on MBS. The basic idea would be that players simply report their game to a tracking thread via forum post, and we keep score between various sides. Would anyone else be interested in participating? Also, which game system or systems would you be interested in using? I was thinking probably DW and/or FSA.

I might participate in a FA campaign but it would take second seat to DW.

Certainly interested. I think it's a great idea. My preference would be Dystopian Wars, but I could also do Firestorm Armada or even Halo Fleet battles (although I think there are more DW and FA players here than Halo players).

I'd be open but one game a month is probably my speed.

Depending on how it's structured, I would think you could play as many or as few games as you want. But I'll defer to Ruckdog on that.

I know there's a lot of fallout right now with the closing of Spartan Games, but I wanted to make sure we keep this thread alive--I think this is a good idea Ruck. I'm happy to both play and help run it.

I have a ton of experience runnign these for Aeronautica Imperialis on the Airspace forums.  They are great fun, but can be a ton of work for the organizer.  You will have a ton of heartache unless you are doing it only for your own enjoyment, because you will not get much back from it. 

After Forgeworld pulled the plug on the Aeronautica Imperialis line, participation dropped rapidly so witht eh death of Spartan Games you might see something similar happen here.

Maybe a campaign sub forum and people can sign up to the private Grand Alliance, Imperial Bond and free nations sub forums.  Keep it a flashpoint, now fluff wise most of the world is accessible to all major factions.  We in Norwich were thinking East Africa, but the Med with maybe special zones open at certain times or the Caribbean with special weather events.
