Height Band Rules questions

Hi,

I'm very new to DW and have a few rules questions around height bands

Subs
Some subs (like the Boston) come with a surface and submerged models but some don't - is there any reason for this or is it just to sell more pretty models?

Planes
So there are 3 flying height bands Surface flying, obscured and stratospheric
what limits which flight bands a flyer can be in - the Avion is classed as a "Small Aerial Low Level Flyer Model" does this mean it cant go up into the clouds?

A) just to sell models.
B) Low Level means they can basically drop down to the Surface height band, avoid AA, but cannot drop Bombs and become Vulnerable. See page 197.

Limitation-wise, SAS, Small, and Tiny models may never go Statospheric. No other (generic) limitations apply.

Some older models had two clear templates with a line diagram of the sub instead of a submerged version. That was for a capability no longer available-the submerged templates could go separate directions making a real target and a false target. It was messy. With deep diving I use the diving token on the submerged version to indicate the level. Flyers I just put either two obscured markers or a die with two pips up.

Can't forget about the fun of wave lurkers as they are partially diving models.
