Picked up the FSA starter set today.

So can we discuss/post pics of models and battle reports for Dystopian Legions on this forum?  Just wanted to check, since it isn't really a naval game.

I'm fine with it; it is pretty well entwined with the DW setting, anyway ;).

Cool.  Not that I'll be posting painted pics any time soon, given how slowly I paint.  :-X

So, who all here has picked up one of the Legions starter sets, or played a game?  I'm still prepping
my FSA for painting, while I read thru the rule book.  Some interesting things in the rules.  My biggest complaint so far is that it took a little sleuthing for me to figure out which models were which in the box.  Doc Orlington was easy, but I had to troll through some of Spartan's previous blog posts to figure out which models were the lieutenant and sergeant, and the difference between the buffalo hunters and the scouts.  In the case of the latter, I had the two mixed up; for some reason, I thought that the more "American Indian" looking models were the buffalo hunters, and the old frontiersman-looking models were the scouts, but I had them backward.

Going to have to learn how to paint flesh.  There's a reason why I only ever painted Space Marines in 40k...

I had the same worry when I started my IG army...I found that a good base coat of flesh tone, followed by a brown wash, produced acceptable results. It's not as hard as you think!

I'm still waiting for my Japanese troops to arrive at my FLGS!  I placed my pre-order over 2 months ago, but I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't have ordered them from an online retailer.  Still, I try to procure as much of my miniature purchases through my local gaming store since I use their great tabletop space so often and at no charge....
