Kaigun Shosho Noto of the North Pacific Fleet has issued a challenge to the French fleet which has been operating in a part of the sea claimed by the Emperer of the Blazing Sun.  Kaigun Shosho will send his all-air battlegroup to recon the area.  Perhaps a second recon conflict may occur after any initial clash between the fleets.

Recon mission requires no points spent by challenger.  400 points for each force--maximum of 1 large model, no massive model allowed, and no restriction on the amount of small models.

The Kaigun Shosho has organized 2 recon squadrons, the first led by an Ika as part of the naval recon group:

Nautical Recon Squadron

Recon Cruiser Squadron:  Nakatsu Class x2 = 120
Recon Frigate Squadron:  Uwatsu Class x4 = 100
Recon Corvette Squadron:  Fujin Class x4 - 80
