I would be happy to introduce the functionality to play War At Sea here at Man Battlestations! I've had great fun playing the game online at the Forumini. The only technical hurdle will be implementing a dice rolling capability of some sort, which I think is a fairly simple problem to overcome. After that, we just need to press-gang some members into playing .

Well, I've got the sub-forum set up for online matches. Doberman, I've made you a mod for these forums, to give you a little more power over how they are set up.

I've also installed a basic die roller; its not as fancy as forumini's, but it should do the trick for now!

Here is how the code works (replace parenthesis with brackets for the real deal):


(roll)1d6(/roll) - rolls 1 6-sided dice.

And now for an operational test:

Rolled 5d6 : 6, 5, 6, 2, 2, total 21
