I like them a lot - especially the bronze next to the white.  And they look lovely next to that terrain.  Well done!  Thanks for posting them!

VERY nice work.  I like the bronze and wood combination--very steampunk.  What's the story with the patterns on the gunships?

Thanks all! More to come soon!!

Landlubber: My sister painted her nails in a similar scheme once. So I stole the idea and transferred it here. Thought it would be fun to do a take on the "dazzle" schemes. Also I wanted the gunships to stand out more from the rest of the Navy. Since they only come in squads of two I pictured them as an elite unit of sorts.

Pics look fine!

I love the patterns you painted on your flying boats. The white edging is very neatly done, and you did a great job at keeping the width of that line even!

Yes, the bronze works really well.  It makes the airship look like something from Flash Gordon!

Holy cow, that sub looks great.  And by great, I mean outstanding.  Very well done!!

Really like the way you painted up the base as well.  I don't suppose we could twist your arm for a how-to?  I've been looking at mine and sweating a little bit.

Thanks for the kind words!

Sitting in traffic, while the lady drives, so can't call out the paints by name. However I just took an deep blue over the entire base. The lighter color was actually a greyish blue used on the hull. An unfortunate/fortunate error occurred when I applied the wash striping away most of the color. There is still a little goof towards the bow of the ship showing the previos color. The grey blue layer was dry brushed on rather aggressively, with the entire base then covered in a layer of Citadel Ardcoat (per a suggestion I received in the last GV game). Once we are out of the car I'll be doing a light dry brushing of white to highlight the caps/peaks in the waves.

Touch up work on the HVY BB, and Georgetowns are on the way. Along with some dusty islands and fortifications...I face the Ottos quite a bit so figured this area of terrain needed exploring.

Nice looking Boston! I think the water effects came out great.

I really like the Boston and New Orleans. The Princetons are cool. I like the new specs and expect to see these every time. Easy target!
