I plan on bringing some Relthoza, only thing I have fully assembled.  But the more bugs, the merrier!

Hello,

I am new to DW and live in the Denver area. It looks like you have a pretty regular group here. Would any one be up for helping me get the rules down? Or, I'd even be down to just watch a game sometime.

Captainrockman, welcome aboard! Several of us live in the Denver area, and several live down in Colorado Springs. I'd be happy to meet you sometime for a game. I can make it to Crit Castle (on Airport Road, over by Buckley AFB) usually on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights, and I could do Crit Castle or Collectormania (in Parker) on the weekends.

Games at Crit Castle during the week have to get started by 5:30, as the store closes at 8 in the evening--that's the only restriction.

When you have a minute, drop a note in the "Introductions" thread and let us know a bit about yourself--what games you play, what factions, where/when you like to/can play, etc.

Landlubber,

To reply to you directly, I can play any weekday after 3 pm and anytime on Saturday and Sunday. I am still researching forces, but am most interested in PLC, RC, and PE. Would you be able to lend me some models for a first game so I can learn more about the tactics?

I am happy to meet at either Crit Castle, or Collectormania. I am in Littleton, so both are reasonably close.

Thanks again,

cr

So, shall be begin planning for the second quarter of 2015 and the ensuing DW extravaganza?  I'd like to take us through March on Firestorm, but then dedicate April-June to DW for the Colorado group if everyone is willing.  I also think we should consider a DW event at Tacticon along the lines of what we're doing at Genghis for Firestorm.

I am still new to DW and the group, but I am all in. I should have a decent force built up by April.

Stephan I think both propositions are good ones.
As far as I know I do not have anything strictly scheduled for March, so someone should offer us some boundaries based on their scheduling restrictions and we can decide from there.
What are the dates for Tacticon?

Tacticon is Labor Day weekend (always).  I don't think we need to set a day in March just yet for the group to get together, but if folks want to start throwing out dates, I'm good for the weekends of 7-8 and 21-22 March.  Also, I know Greg has been wanting to get in some play time on another system, so we could take suggestions for that as well (Planetfall, X-Wing, STAW?)

I would be good for any weekend in March except the last one, the 28th-29th. Sundays would actually work better for me, but if it's easier for the group meet on a Saturday, I might be able to swing that.

I would be happy to get back into some DW action. I've really been enjoying Firestorm, but my roots are in Dystopian Wars. I would REALLY like to do a DW event at Tacticon, and I would probably be of much more use since I know that game much better! Something to start mulling over...

That said, yeah, it would be fun to work in a non-Spartan game at some point in the near future--at least, for those who want to. Right now, the only other game system that I could run would be X-Wing...but as I stated before, I have enough models to run two games at once (and I wouldn't mind teaching people to play either, I don't necessarily have to be one of the players myself!). In the future I hope to be able to show some of you Deep Wars, but I would have to get my second faction painted up in order to do that.

I am down for Tacticon and anything else going on in the Spring. X-Wing sounds fun too!

So far as March goes, I am only unavailable the first weekend. Other than that I am free.

I noticed (and then lost) another tabletop gaming group (the name has also passed beyond the veil) is having an open gaming con in late April.  That may be another event we could plan to be at.  I'll dig up the details again.

I'm going to throw out that we plan for 21 March.  Do we want to plan for playing something other than FA or DW?  There's been a suggestion for X-Wing, but if we do that we'll need folks to volunteer to teach and provide figs.  I've got some STAW, so I could play that if we wanted to just plan for "Attack Wing".  We could also plan for a Planetfall learning day.  I've now got two of the starter set Aquans, so I could loan half out to someone else.

I think we could shelf the Firestorm for a little while. I'm open for some DW or something new.
I have enough X-wing miniatures for multiple games. If a few people work together on what they want to include in their list I could comfortably outfit 4 people for two games. As far as the rules they are cake.
