Where getting together on the 6th? I've got an event in early afternoon, but I could make it up later...

Ummmm....

OK, didn't realize we'd have a group of us again this month. Let me make some calls tomorrow and see if anyplace can fit us. Will start with Collectormania in Parker. We might be in luck, looks like they have a bunch of white space on their calendar on the 6th. I'm going to ask for two tables starting at 10, Stephan and I will be playing X-Wing.

Watch this thread for updates...

OK, the good folks at Collectormania said we can have one 4x6 if we can be there at 1000. Apparently they have a Star Wars Armada event that day that wasn't on the calendar. They also said we can push some of the smaller tables together for X-Wing, as long as those tables aren't in use.

So we have a 4x6 reserved for any DW players who might show up, and we can likely use the smaller tables for some X-Wing. I cannot be there at 1000 due to a previous appointment--will probably be there around 1100 or 1130. So someone else will need to show up and occupy by force.

If I get free early enough (by 2-3PM), I'll come up for a few hours with DW and X_Wing
Otherwise I'll stay home and try to paint for Gehnghis/Adepticon :-)

A couple people have brought up the idea of painting tomorrow. Stephan I think originally proposed a painting session, but then that morphed into he and I playing X-Wing. However, I have seen people painting at the smaller tables at Collectormania, although I've never done it myself.

I have to clear the snow at my mom's first thing tomorrow morning, so I won't be there until about 11. I'll bring my painting stuff too.

I'm free the weekend of the 20th and 21st if anyone wants to get together for Adepticon practice.  I could make it down to the Springs as well if someone wants to play and can't make it to Denver.

I think the competition in the Firestorm Armada tourney will be stiffer than at the Planetfall tourney, but a Planetfall day may be in order.  I know there's several folks at the Haven who play Planetfall regularly, so we might be able to get a sizable group together if we get word out quickly enough.

I think there's a Haven Trek Attack Wing Event on Sat the 20th, but I could re-prioritize.

Haven Planetfall is almost every Saturday Night, but we'd see best turn-out if we give it a 2week wind-up so the locals know to show.

I likely won't be able to make any events that day, so you all will have to soldier on without me!

Whoa, it's been a long time since this thread was updated. I guess between the weather and the Adepticon prep, everyone was busy.

So...let's get the conversation started for Spartan gaming day sometime in May. What dates would work for everyone? My only available weekend in May is the 14th/15th due to prior commitments...BUT, if there is a different date that would work better for the group, don't let my restrictions hinder those plans.

Do we want to make it a Dystopian Wars day, after all the Firestorm Armada practice leading up to Adepticon? Should we aim for Collectormania? I'm at work right now and can't see their store schedule for May.

Drop a note here and let your thoughts be known!

Sadly, I'm booked save for Memorial Day Weekend, which most probably have other commitments for. I have a delayed Warmachine event on the 14th (due to snow) and Havenfest on the 21st.
And here I was sorta jonesing for DW...

Note though for June and future - I heard today from the excellent new Vanguard Coordinator (Spartan_Beth) that not only are new Demo kits coming out across the board (ala the new HALO ones) but Tourney Kits as well. And I will be able to order as a Vanguard, under Vanguard pricing.
So ... if we wanted to finance an actual kit for our get-togethers, and could guarantee a turn-out, we can have event prizes and swag!

BTW - Please all look ahead to Sept 1-4 for Tacticon and see related thread!
(If I've done my weekend counting right, Stephan should even be free for that!)

OK everybody, I have one 4x6 table reserved for us at Collectormania on Saturday, 14 May. We *might* be able to use a second table, depending on what else they have going on that day. Our reservation starts at 1000, when they open. Hypnotini, I think you could bring your custom board and put it over a couple of the smaller tables (assuming they would let you do that--might want to ask them first), if you're planning on coming out to game. I'll be there with a couple of DW fleets until probably 4 that afternoon, maybe a little later.

So, come on out and play if you can!

Unless something explodes at work I'll be there about 10 - 10:30 with my Antarcticans.  I'll also bring Firestorm Taskforce for people to check out.
