No worries Zorper.

We're getting closer and closer to the end of June...I could also do the 23rd or 30th. Anyone have any issue or preference with those two dates?

Any decision on dates?
30th is better for me.

30th would work for me as well.

Any objections?

What are we playing again?

We hadn't decided, but we did talk about a "space gaming day". Firestorm Armada/Planetfall, Halo FB, X-Wing, SW Armada, ST Attack Wing. I'm still up for that if it sounds good to the group. For research purposes, I wouldn't mind playing a couple games of ST Attack Wing; Ruckdog and I will review it at some point for the podcast I'm sure, and it would be good if I could speak from experience. Same thing with SW Armada.

I'll bring my STAW stuff, build some balanced fleets, and we can play a simple scenario or three. I'll also work out a few examples of how broke the Open format can be, to contrast with Faction Pure.
I do have the Doomsday Machine scenario, lots of fun, but definitely NOT for the first or second game learning the system.

Also, I can play SW Armada, but I don't actually own anything for it.

I should know later this week if I can game on the 30th.  I'd could schlep over Armada stuff, open for X Wing or whatever.

A SW Armada game for the 2nd half could be cool. And I wouldn't mind a fun X-wing scenario

X-Wing scenarios aren't too difficult to cook up. I've got a couple I could run us through.

So with no dissenting opinions, it looks like we'll meet on the 30th. I'll contact Collectormania and see if we can get a couple of their 4x6 tables.

I'll also bring Halo Fleet Battles stuff if anyone wants to run through a game of that.

We're confirmed for 30 July at Collectormania in Parker. I was able to get two tables. I'll be there when they open at 10 that morning. Will bring X-Wing and Halo: Fleet Battles, enough stuff for both systems to field multiple games. Willing to do teaching games for either. Will also bring some scenarios for X-Wing, including one that Quickdraw and I just ran (his idea) that involves TIE fighters trying to destroy an HWK freighter that is flying in the role of an airborne (spaceborne?) early warning radar platform. It's a pretty fun scenario.

Beat the heat and come out and play if you can!

I'm really ready to learn and play some Halo.  But I'll be out of town for this one.   I'll shoot for the August meeting.

I'm suddenly iffy for that day as Machelle has just-now announced it's probably "Hay Day", when we get to drop a few grand on literally feeding her hobby, and I have the joy of unloading and stacking 100 bales or so. We're tied to when her friend rents the flatbed, so its not a shift-able date for me.

But then I guess I got Adepticon this past year, so there is balance...

Bumping this thread as a reminder...space day next Saturday at Collectormania! Come out and play if you can (I understand summer is busy for most people). I'll be there with X-Wing and Halo: Fleet Battles, and we have two 4x6' tables reserved starting when they open at 1000. Hope to see you there!

Not confirmed, but its looking like hay work is delayed, and I'll be free after all.

I'll plan to bring STAW, X-Wing, and HALO. Plus Mark - bring SW Armada if you feel like it. I'll play :-)

If Stephan would be there, I'd bring B5 too...
