I'll try to have my HDF base coated so we can give that a whirl.

Okay, Halo Dirt Fight is fun!  We are going to try to get another game in next month.  We'll probably do this at my place instead of trying to set up a game day at Collectormania.

Yes, it is quite fun. Spartans and Elites are hard to kill, but not impossible. Much like the fleet game, the ground game is pretty brutal.

Zorper, you'll be happy to know that I just tonight finished putting a spray coat primer on all my Dirt Fight models. Next few nights are busy, but maybe by this weekend I'll start putting base colors on them.

Cool.  I'll try to do my very basic paint job before next time as well.

I have half of my Covenant finished. Should be able to get them all done right when I get back. Hopefully I can finally play it!

I'd like to see a game where we combine the forces from two starter sets.

Okay @Landlubber and anyone else interested.  Let's set up our November game of Dirt Fight.  Since college ball is a priority, I can do the 6th, the 13th, and/or the 20th.  I think my place is the best for the game, I've got plenty of space, and 4x8 table, and terrain.

13th or the 20th would work for me. Happy to play at your place if you don't mind hosting.

Okay, November 20th at 1 PM - 6PM at my place.  If anyone else wants to join us PM me and I'll give you my phone number and address.

I should have my stuff painted, so we can have a double starter set battle.  Cool.

I'll see how that week looks ... if my Journeyman League for Warmachine takes off, I'll be gaming on just the 19th that weekend.

Are we taking a break in December?

I know we are already into it, but I am around for the holidays and all of December and would love to see everyone.

I'm open for a game in December.  Landlubber was putting the meetings together, but only he and I only showed up for the last couple, so I'm not sure he's going to be doing that any more.

Yeah, we had a couple attempted events where participation was really low (I totally understand that Real Life gets in the way sometimes), so I decided to lay off trying to schedule anything for awhile.

To be honest, what I would really like to do is set a specific date and location every month--like, the third Sunday of every month at Collectormania or something like that. That would prevent us having to try to schedule anything. Everyone would know when and where the group game day would be every month, and could show up if they wanted to.

If we were to do that, I would suggest picking a Sunday and meeting at Collectormania. Reasons for this: 1) we've played many Sundays at Collectormania and they pretty much always have room for us; 2) they have four 4x6' tables, so we can run multiple games (and this lessens the chance that there won't be any room for us to play); and 3) Collectormania is still the best mid-way point for the Denver and Colorado Springs crowds.

We also aren't required to play strictly Spartan games. We could do X-Wing, B5, or even board gaming (Firefly and Star Trek Ascendancy, anyone??). We could even have painting parties there (seems like there's always someone there painting/building gaming pieces). Again, I've never seen Collectormania completely full when we're in there (and we're usually in there on Sunday afternoons), so there would be plenty of table space for that sort of thing, especially down on the far end away from the front.

Interested to get people's input and thoughts on this.
