I have a resin problem...
« on: July 02, 2014, 10:10:55 am »
I thought I would start this thread up as a place to facilitate a trade or purchase of our extra minis.  Let me know if you guys are interested in this and I can start posting what things I've got.  Not sure that we need to necessarily limit this to DW either.

And if we're a go, I think I'll move this thread to the DW CO page...

Works for me!  And I think what you're doing is good...first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem...  :D

Again...as long as you aren't grinding up the ships and huffing the dust, you're probably OK.  Anything specific you're try to unload?

A strong reminder to all of our recovering (or not recovering) addicts, please do not inhale resin as it is deadly! Seriously kids, don't do it :D.

This is a great topic to start though, especially with Spartan's odd packaging and the recent change I imagine there are probably a few people with some odd ball ships.

Yeah, I think about that every time I'm sawing on one of my ships, or sanding down the edges.

Agreed.  Some of the recent boxed set contents I've found a little strange.  But, I have to think that Spartan probably makes those to help get new players into the game (and Ruckdog said something about them possibly trying to get rid of some older stock, which might also be the case).  However, when my Shadowhunter set comes in, I'm going to have a bunch of FSA small ships that I have no need for!

Wet sawing/ sanding/ drilling takes care of the dust issue pretty well.

I'm sure this was answered already somewhere, but is Spartan going to be making available the new ships in stand alone blisters? I really only want the assault carrier and battle cruiser from the DW FSA box, but don't want the extra resin laying around....

On their forums, there has been some discussion.  They announced a while back that they would be offering singles, but there has not been a peep from them since.  Folks are venting their frustrations so hopefully they'll get to offering them since the 2.0 for DW and FA are basically done.

We're rolling into testing the tie in for FA and PF now plus there are new support fleets comming so hopefully the singles for FA and DW will start popping up in the store.

Joint "parts" order to get free shipping from Spartan
« Reply #13 on: July 27, 2014, 02:32:19 am »
Now that the new models are available in squadrons by themselves it occurs to me that people might put an order together jointly to perhaps get over the 100 GBP that would qualify for free shipping.
I would be looking for the new RC units, Carrier , BC and corvette.
I also need one (1) Requin, I would order a squadron if anyone would buys any of the other four.
Thoughts?
