Got started on my first Oroshan cruiser today at the painting day.  I finished it this evening and took a few pics.

That cruiser looks gorgeous! Great job. The purple highlighted areas really pop.

Thanks!  That's actually just several coats of a homemade purple wash over white.

It's a very nice effect! How did you make the wash? What color/brand of paint did you use? I might try the same effect on some of my models...

The dominate reds on the dreadnought contrast well with the cruiser's dominate purples, the smaller areas of the opposing colors tying them together well.  The makings of a very visually interesting fleet.
