And in other news, Hell froze over...
« on: December 13, 2014, 07:41:20 pm »
35+/- years of collecting (hoarding?) minis and I've only painted 3 D&D figs (about 34 years ago) and primed a few Brakiri (this year).  Today will go down in an annals of history for I have actually primed my first DW miniatures.  Behold, Covenant Zenos, a Russian dreadnought, battleships and cruisers, and a French Dreadnought, Carrier and Support Cruisers (oh my!).  Primed in grey.  Hopefully this post will be followed within a few weeks of more primed, base coated and detailed DW minis (as well as Firestorm Armada and Babylon 5 Wars).

Yah, and that's just the start.  Hundreds more where those came from.

Part of the reason I've made such an announcement is the public support and/or humiliation/shaming that I can receive if I don't continue to make some progress.  Unfortunately the weather is not cooperating and won't be for a while (and so it's hard to prime or basecoat outside and no basement here).  But at least I can wash stuff up, magnetize and fret over colors.

Don't forget to put your Firestorm figs at the front of the line so they'll be ready in time for the Con!

Started assembling the Sorylians tonight.  The plan is wrap them up along with the Relthoza this weekend.  Still trying to nail down colors for both (some shade of grey and X for the lizards, and maybe some green/bronze combo for the bugs), so hopefully I can figure that out this weekend as well.  Might need to order some airbrush paint and break the Aztek outta its box for its maiden painting voyage.

Nice, that's a load of stuff to paint. I just got some Sorylians too, to perk my interest in them (cruiser box). That's on top of everything else I need to work on :/ I should probably not buy anything else for a while!
I don't make the rules, I just think them up and write them down.

I'm with you! This is the first Christmas in a while where I haven't asked for any minis. Between all my unpainted FA, DW and now Planetfall stuff, my Spartan back-log alone is enough to keep me busy for a whole year...

Well, had to move the DW stuff to the side and get some FA stuff ready for Gengis Con next month.  So now I present, fresh out of the shipyard assembly plant, the capital ships of Battlefleet Theridiidae.  The pride of Aziza Prime are now waiting their turn in the paint shop after receiving their primer coat.  Soon to follow will be Theridiidae's frigates and escorts.
