I likely won't be getting any gaming goodies, so I went out and treated myself to an RSN dreadnaught, a TA-4 Star Port, and a blister of RSN Siren escorts. Because everyone needs a little Target Resolution during the holidays.

Yay for RSN!

I too doubt I'll get anything gaming related from girlfriend or family. But I did get some cash, and a company bonus that isn't ALL already spoken for. My list in order is:

-- Planetfall Relthoza Core Helix
-- Ba'kash Aerial helix
-- Split of P-Fall Box set with local, or buy Commander's Box.
-- SECOND Relthoza Core Helix (32 Infantry stands, here I come!)
-- Ba'Kash patrol Fleet for Firestorm
-- Dindrenzi Frigate Box or Pack

And after LGS auction in mid-Jan, I'll dip into heavy Helixes and maybe some Battlecruisers.

While I didn't get much in the way of wargaming stuff (my Platinum Planetfall bundle was kind of an early Christmas present in that regard!), I did get some neat boardgaming stuff, including the Dominion expansion for Star Trek: Fleet Captains!

Gift cash now spent - Relthoza Core Helix plus Bakash air Helix acquired.

LGS auction is in a few weeks, after that I'll hopefully  have enough store credit to nab a starter to split with someone, and a 2nd Relthoza Core Helix.

Hey Dale, what's the LGS auction?

Gamer's Haven hosts an games auction twice a year. Next is Jan 17th, lost accepted (I think) from 10 til 11 or noon. Then they auction it all off til gonbe usually no later than 8PM.
Packets become available soon - you get 20 lot cards per seller, you list minimum starting bid (trust me, lower is ALWAYS better).
Sellers get their prices back ONLY in store credit.
Buyers must pay that day, at the end or during breaks.
Seller proceeds cannot offset your Buyer bill.
Folks auction everything from mini games (GW does best of course) to boardgames to RPGS to classic historicals to sci-fi/fantasy books. Anything vaguely of interest to game store crowd! Buyer paddles are assigned when you arrive. The room stays fairly crowded until 4PM or so.
Most folks wont bid over $100, so putting up whole painted armies will be disappointing. Breaking them into bite size chunks, less so. Occasionally there's some high rollers, but few to bid against them.
If you DO have a few hundred, you can often make a KILLING on a painted army. Last year, there was about $1000 of Imperial Guard, painted, in foam, available for a mere $150.
