Thanks! I'm happy with how it came out. I know that blues tend to be the more popular engine color for Terrans, but I've already got that in the hull, so I wanted something different for the engines ;).

Ruckdog, that engine effect is REALLY good, especially on the destroyers. Very nice overall, the ships look great.

Yeah, I second the compliment on the engine effect.  I also like your solution for the flat spots on the destroyers, very nice freehand.

Amazing what you guys can do with these miniatures, and the backdrops are awesome too.

Nice painting :) :) :)

It's been a while, but I finally finished a few more additions to my Terran fleet! The first is the Ares-class carrier, RANGER:

Accompanying her are two Aegis-class shield cruisers:

Here is a shot with all 3 together:

Looks good Ruck. Is the insignia a decal?

The crest on the port engine housing was done free-hand, the rest of the markings were done with decals.

Freehand?!?!? Good grief man, that is some good work! I consider myself a halfway-decent detail painter, but there is no way I could freehand something like that. If the design was already there I'd have no problems painting it, but...geez!  Good stuff!

Ruckdog,

Nice ships! Even though my primary fleet is The Sorylians, I have always liked the design of the Ares Carrier.

Have you done a tutorial for your bases? If so, please link...If not, Please do! :)

Again, nice work.

These really look awesome.  I am very impressed with your freehand design there!
