The bases are the Omni Stand system from Corsec Engineering. I'll put a quick tutorial together for you if you like, but they are pretty straight forward .

Thanks for the compliments! I've been striving to keep a consistent theme and pattern with the markings on this fleet; Ive got a whole backstory behind it inside my head.

Thanks! I used 0.5mm masking tape to achieve that effect.

That's genius. I'll have to give that a try. I've thought about cutting pieces but I could never get the angle or the width correct.

Yep! That was the idea. When I first sat down to paint my Mk I models back in 2009, I assumed that the little recessed areas in the middle of the Terran ships were vertical launch tubes of some sort. That's when the caution stripes idea occurred to me!

The tape is pre-cut to the .5mm width, so all I had to do was worry about the length. This was the source I used for it:
